Polls are open today, Tuesday, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Whether you are voting in person, dropping off an absentee ballot or still need to register, there is a way to do it today.

If your ballot is still on the kitchen counter, do not put it in the mail. The county asked voters to mail ballots before October 27. After that the advice is to use a drop-off instead, and every drop-off below closes at 8 p.m.

Voting in person: find your polling place first

Missoula County has 20 polling places, all open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Which one is yours depends on your registration address. Check before you leave at MyVoterPageMT.com, which also shows your voter registration.

Three drive-thru ballot drop-offs

Already filled out your absentee ballot? You do not have to leave the car. All three are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today:

  • McCormick Park — 600 Cregg Lane
  • Hellgate Elementary — baseball field parking lot, north of the school at 2385 Flynn Lane
  • South Russell Street — between the YMCA and the Fairgrounds

You can also drop a completed absentee ballot at any of the 20 polling places.

There is a 24-hour drop box outside the Elections Center, Building B north entrance, at 140 N. Russell St. — but the county does not recommend it today, because of traffic congestion in the parking lot. It points voters to the McCormick Park drive-thru instead.

Not registered? You still can, today

Eligible voters can register in person today at the Missoula County Elections Center, 140 N. Russell St., Building B.

Registration is available there 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bring what you need to register and identification — the county's election page lists the requirements.

Already voted?

You can check your voter registration at MyVoterPageMT.com. The Elections Office says it will contact any voter whose ballot has been rejected, for any reason.

One recent change worth knowing: after a court decision, mail voters are no longer required to write their birth year on the signature envelope. The Elections Office still recommends including it, in case the law changes again.

Need help

Missoula County Elections Office, 140 N. Russell St. — 406-258-4751. Official election information is on the county's Current Election page.

For the full rules on deadlines and drop-offs, see our Missoula County voter guide. And for the other county envelope arriving this month, here is what is in your property tax bill.

Polls close at 8 p.m. tonight.
