Missoula Beverage Collective Opens on West Broadway — Coffee First, Beer Later |
The brewery, café and community space in the former Imagine Nation Brewing building is pouring coffee on a reduced schedule while it waits on equipment, inspections and licenses. |

The big building by the river on West Broadway is open again.
Missoula Beverage Collective has opened in the former Imagine Nation Brewing space at 1151 W. Broadway St., and it is serving coffee only for now, KYSS FM reported on Oct. 22, citing the business's own Instagram announcement.
Beer is still coming.
What's open now
By the business's account, quoted in that report, the doors opened Wednesday, Oct. 21: “After over six months of hands-on renovation and planning, we are prepared to welcome you into the new space.”
The schedule is deliberately short while it gets going: closed Mondays and Tuesdays, open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., per the same announcement.
One caution before you drive over. The collective's own website still reads “COMING 2026” and lists no hours or address, as of Tuesday, so the hours above come from its social post rather than from a published page. Check its Instagram for the current day's hours.
Beer service, the business said, “will begin later this year after our equipment is fully installed” — with inspections completed and licenses approved.
What it's trying to be
The concept is three things at once. In its own words, the collective “combines a brewery, café, and community space designed to serve as a gathering place for neighbors, families, nonprofits, artists, outdoor enthusiasts, visitors, and community groups,” according to its website.
The plan it has published: craft beer, coffee, non-alcoholic beverages and “a broad calendar of community programming.”
And one claim worth watching: the collective says it “will be the only establishment in the state focusing on brewing a diverse line of non-alcoholic beers.” That's the collective's own characterization, not something we've independently confirmed.
The build-out has been partly crowdfunded. The website points to an Indiegogo campaign to “go beyond the basics,” and the opening note thanked “our family, friends, crowd fund contributors, and volunteers.”
Who's behind it hasn't been published. The website names no founders and lists no ownership or membership structure, and some coverage has called the business a cooperative while it calls itself a collective. We've asked.
The building
That address carries some weight locally. Imagine Nation Brewing spent about a decade at 1151 W. Broadway, listed there by the Montana Brewers Association, before closing its Broadway taproom at the end of March and moving to a space near the airport.
The spot has the thing Missoula's newer breweries mostly don't: the Clark Fork essentially out the back door, and a room big enough to hold a crowd.
