Missoula Airport Just Added 10+ New Flights — Here's Where You Can Fly Now

Things to do in Missoula this summer just got a whole lot more connected

Things to do in Missoula this summer just got a whole lot more connected. Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) is having its biggest year ever — and they are not slowing down. After breaking records with over 1 million passengers in 2024, the airport just rolled out a major expansion of flight options that makes getting in and out of Zootown easier than ever.

Whether you are planning a weekend getaway, expecting out-of-town visitors, or running a business that depends on reliable travel, this is big news.

The New Flight Lineup (Starting Now Through June)

Here is what is new or expanded at MSO:

Alaska Airlines

• Second daily flight to Portland (started May)

• Fourth daily flight to Seattle

• Weekly service to San Diego resumes this month

American Airlines

• Doubled service to Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago

Los Angeles service restored

Delta Airlines

• Second daily flight to Minneapolis is back

Allegiant

• Twice-weekly flights to Orange County and Oakland

• Doubled service to Mesa, Arizona (now four weekly flights)

That is direct access to 10+ major destinations without the headache of connections through Denver or Salt Lake.

What is Coming Next

The airport is not stopping at more flights. A new east concourse is under construction right now, adding:

• More jet gates

• Expanded baggage claim

• Upgraded car rental facilities

Translation: Less congestion, shorter waits, and room to grow.

Why This Matters for Missoula

More flights = more visitors = more dollars flowing into local businesses. It also means Missoula residents can compete for remote jobs that require occasional travel without living near a major hub. And for the outdoor tourism economy that drives so much of this town? This is jet fuel.

Bottom line: The airport expansion signals something important — Missoula is not just growing, it is becoming more connected to the rest of the country while keeping its small-town soul.

Quick Travel Tips

Book early for summer weekends — new flights are already filling up

Check Allegiant for budget deals — their Orange County/Oakland routes are perfect for California trips

The new east concourse opens in phases — expect some construction noise but smoother operations by fall
