The Class AA regular season is winding down, and Missoula has a big one.

Big Sky hosts Kalispell Glacier on Thursday night in a meeting of the Western AA’s top two teams by conference record, according to MTN Sports standings.

The Class AA playoffs begin Oct. 30–31, according to the Montana High School Association.

Last week’s scores (Thursday, Oct. 15)

Sentinel 28, Helena Capital 19. The Spartans won at home to improve to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the Western AA.

Big Sky 42, Helena 24. The Eagles won on the road to improve to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the West, with their only loss coming 38-21 to Sentinel on Oct. 9.

Butte 45, Hellgate 8. The Knights fell to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in the West.

The big one: Glacier at Big Sky

Kalispell Glacier comes to Missoula at 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the West, ranked No. 2 in the MTN Sports power rankings.

Big Sky (5-1 West) is ranked No. 5 in the same poll, and Sentinel is No. 4.

A Big Sky win would leave the Eagles and Glacier level in league play.

  • Friday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m.: Sentinel at Kalispell Flathead (Legends Stadium, Kalispell)
